All In For Kids | Lake Washington Schools Foundation

Dear Friend,

As Lake Washington Schools Foundation looks back on fifteen years of service to our community, we invite you to join us on a journey of gratitude. Throughout the month of November, we'll be sharing positive stories of people making a difference for vulnerable members of our communities.

Follow us on Facebook (and #LWSFGivesThanks) to hear stories of compassion and gratitude.

Let's start now!

First, #LWSFGivesThanks to everyone who donated to our All in for Kids campaign. This fall fundraiser is the backbone of LWSF, allowing us to run free programs like Balance in Mind, Find Your Fit, LINKS mentoring, Reach for Success classroom grants, and more. To all who donated, thank you! (Forget to make your contribution this fall? It's not too late to go all in for kids!)

Next, #LWSFGivesThanks to the tireless LWSF program volunteers and staff who have pivoted to continue providing services to our community amidst the increased and changing needs brought by COVID-19. See below for more detail.

Read on for more #LWSFGivesThanks, and remember to follow us on social media for more positive stories all month long.

Pantry Packs is Prepared!

After a spring of pandemic-safe operations and a summer of planning and preparation, we are delighted to announce that Pantry Packs has resumed normal pack delivery to participating schools. Right now, 981 total LWSD students are on our list to receive Pantry Packs. This will equal 3,298 packs per month. These students were identified by Pantry Packs coordinators at 44 LWSD schools.

Do you know a child who could benefit from more weekend food? There are no applications or requirements; just contact that child’s school principal or school counselor and let them know!

We’ve seen an incredible increase in the need for Pantry Packs over the past six months. The fact that Pantry Packs volunteers have been able to meet this extraordinary increase in hunger is a testimony to their compassion, organizational powers, and sheer grit. #LWSFGivesThanks to the leadership team and dedicated volunteers of Pantry Packs!

Cor Church of Kirkland

#LWSF Gives Thanks to COR Church!

In tough times, it's good to know that we can count on supporters like COR Church of Kirkland.

The philanthropic local group has not only given an initial gift of over $6,000, but has also committed to a generous monthly contribution in support of our Pantry Packs program, showing a remarkable dedication to erasing hunger in our region.

When asked what inspired their donation to support Pantry Packs, a representative of COR Church said, "We love how Pantry Packs provides services that not only help local members of the community but also encourages people to take action."

Thank you, COR Church of Kirkland!
